Happy Dumpster Diving

Welcome to my new blog. I love finding peoples’ junk and reselling it at the shop. It is amazing what some people will throw out or sell for pennies on the dollar. Ever go to an auction and bought the usual box of junk that no one bids on so you get it for 50 cents, only to find an exquisite pearl necklace way at the bottom? This happens more times than not. I hope to give you tips on finding your treasures and maybe even make some money for you. Stay tuned…

Thanks to all the people who donate to thrift stores, they are in a continual state of overflowing junk. Fortunately some of the stuff is weeded out and thrown into the dumpster out back. The dumpsters are full of good stuff at the change of the season, when the old summer clothes are exchanged for winter clothes or vice versa.

Also check out the dumpsters in the back of various craft stores, boutiques, etc. Sometimes items are thrown out because they have a small chip, or a crack. You can easily fix these things, but the stores can not sell them. Maybe all it would take is to put the damaged part up against a wall. Your gain.
